Vision 2040 Tracker — KPI Progress and Priority Scorecards
The Tracker is the quantitative core of this platform. It monitors Oman’s progress against the targets the government has set for itself, using official data from NCSI, the Central Bank, and line ministries, supplemented by IMF and World Bank estimates where domestic reporting lags.
Over 35 individual KPI trackers cover the headline indicators – GDP diversification ratio, non-oil revenue share, Omanisation rates, logistics performance index, renewable energy capacity, and more. Each tracker presents the baseline value, the 2040 target, the latest available data point, and a gap-to-target calculation that quantifies how far the Sultanate still needs to travel.
Priority scorecards aggregate related KPIs into composite assessments for each of the twelve national priorities, applying a RAG (red-amber-green) status methodology. These scorecards reveal where reform momentum is genuine and where headline rhetoric masks stalled implementation.
The alert system flags material changes – KPIs that have deteriorated quarter-on-quarter, targets that have been quietly revised, or data releases that significantly alter the trajectory outlook. Alerts are timestamped and linked to the relevant KPI tracker for full context.
This section is designed for analysts and decision-makers who need to move beyond narrative and into measurement.
